I want to explain something about my campaign

My campaign is about more than just me becoming a member of congress. My campaign is about inspiring other regular people to become active in politics in this country. I want to encourage as many people as I can over the next 2 years of this campaign to start their own campaigns. I dream of a day when you can turn on CSPAN and instead of seeing a bunch of suits doing nothing but bickering with their hardline party stances, you see a bunch of regular people in regular clothes working together to try and figure things out.

I'm not a politician, I'm not polished speaker and I'm really not all that charismatic. I'm just some guy, and that's the whole point. I have flaws, I've made mistakes in my life, I've had good times and bad times. Quite simply there are two reasons I'm running. One because I think I have good ideas of how to improve things in America, and two because someone's got to make the move to push out the old way and bring in a new way. It may as well be me.

One thing you will hopefully notice about this campaign is that I will not hold back who I am or what I stand for. I won't answer to anyone but the needs of my district and my country. I'll most definitely have political enemies, odds are when and if I even come close to winning both parties will divert tons of funding into advertising and trying to destroy my campaign. I'm not afraid to step on the toes of those currently in power and I look forward to the fight.

I need you. I need you to tell your friends about this campaign, I need you to spread the word, I need you to spread this fire that will hopefully engulf the entire system. I don't want just exposure and help in my district, I want this to be a spectacle for the whole world to see so that more people will do the same and we the people take back the power that has been taken from us. We are the authority, we are their bosses, we are the power, and it is time we sent them that message.

First we will take the House. Then we will work our way through the Senate and other branches of government and we will bring this corrupt and senseless system down and in it's place we will work together to rebuild it from the inside out. The parties need to die, the polarization needs to die, the influence of money, private interests, religious institutions need to die. Take your part in history, let our time be known in the history books as the time where the people stood up and took back the the nation from those abusing and neglecting it.

I'm looking forward to all the fun we're going to have over the next two years, and I hope you are also.

A thought I just had about Marijuana

When I win the election in 2018 and become a congressman, at the end of the day in DC it would be perfectly legal and acceptable for me to roll a fattie and wind down from the day, but the majority of the people in this country can't do the same when they get home from their real jobs and real work.....

It's perfectly acceptable for someone to come home after work and get drunk, which leads to innumerable health problems as well as increasing the chances for abuse, violence, vehicle accidents etc. I wonder if it has to do with alcohol being such a huge industry with plenty of money for campaign donations.........

Our country needs a change

I know it's become a cliche thing to say, especially for someone running for office, but it is nonetheless true that our country is in dire need of a change.

For too long the major parties have had a stranglehold on our nation. They work to polarize the people and ensure their own power and wealth is maintained. We need representatives who represent us, average citizens, not themselves and those who fund their campaigns.

I am an average citizen. I'm not a wealthy man, not an overly educated man, honestly there isn't that much about me personally that is all that great. What I am is a person who wants to stand up for the future of my family and yours. I am a person who has a clear view of how things in this country need to change for the betterment of our people and the prosperity of future generations. I am a person who is fed up with our game show style politics and wants to do my part to put this country back on track.
